How codes are sourced
Error code meanings and fix sequences are built from manufacturer service documentation, published owner manuals, and common field-service patterns for major US brands (LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, GE, Bosch, and others). When a page cites a manufacturer source, that link appears in the sources section on the code page. Inferred guidance is labeled as editorial until a primary source is attached.
Review process
Guides are reviewed on a rolling basis for accuracy, safety, and clarity. Each error code page shows when it was last reviewed (August 2025). We update pages when manufacturers revise code definitions or when recurring field issues suggest better first checks.
