Whirlpool dryer error codes by model
- AFRestricted airflow — the lint screen or vent is clogged, crushed, kinked, or has too many turns.
- L2Low or no line voltage — the heater cannot turn on. Electric dryers need both sides of a 240V breaker.
- PFPower failure — the drying cycle was interrupted. Hold Start to resume.
- F23Exhaust thermistor shorted — the dryer cannot read exhaust temperature safely.
- F4E3Restricted airflow (same family as AF) — the vent or lint screen is blocking exhaust.
