Samsung washer 4C2 error code
- Washer
Samsung 4C2, also shown as 4E2, means the water arriving on the cold inlet is extremely hot. That happens when the supply hoses are crossed: the cold hose is on the hot tap and the hot hose is on the cold tap. Samsung's own guide says this code does not mean the washer needs service. Match the blue hose to the cold tap and the red hose to the hot tap, open both valves, and start the cycle again. 4C2 is different from 4C. 4C means the washer is not getting water at all. 4C2 means it is getting water, but the cold side is hot.

How to fix 4C2
- Turn off both water valves behind the washer before loosening a hose.
- Trace the hoses. Connect the blue hose to the cold tap and the cold inlet on the washer. Connect the red hose to the hot tap and the hot inlet.
- Open both valves fully. A half-open valve can look like a fill problem after the hoses are corrected.
- Plug the washer in and start a cycle. 4C2 should stay off once cold water reaches the cold inlet.
- If 4C appears instead, the washer is not filling. Check the inlet screens. That is a different fault from 4C2.
Call a pro when: Call a plumber if both wall taps produce hot water. The washer hoses are not the cause in that case.
